  1. Option #3 Getting into the HPDE hobby should be done in your current car. Just be sure the brakes and tires are better than 50% Your first few events will be learning lots of things that modifications or upgrades will diminish. Learn the lines, braking and acceleration zones and get confident in a stock car, then transition with small mods at a time. Don't add another mod until you've learned to get the most out of the previous one. And be warned...track days are a rabbit hole...but they are oh so fun.
  2. Sold the 3.6R today, took off all the fun parts first so I'll be selling lots soon.
  3. If a glass shop and/or dealership installs a non-factory glass on an Eyesight equipped vehicle and the Eyesight system fails to perform properly resulting in an accident, that shop or dealership with be liable. Why take the chance?
  4. The dealership has no responsibility except to perform warranty repairs on your vehicle. The warranty only covers defects in materials or workmanship. Considering the windshield is impacted daily by everything from sand, dirt, wood chips, pebbles and rocks at speeds up to at least highway speeds, it should not be surprising that they get chipped and/or cracked regularly. These are all called outside influences and are NOT a defect.
  5. The current HT-CVT can handle the power, if it is properly cooled. Which it is not in any of it's current applications.
  6. Not true, it is not tied to the warranty at all. Each state has their own rules and people should check with their states Attorney General to see what qualifies as a lemon in their state. In Florida, a "Lemon" can only be claimed within the first 24 months after the date of purchase.
  7. I auto-x & track my car....aggressively...never bent any sway bar mounts or brackets...
