  1. between those two, you are set. Been quite a while. I will catch myself looking for a used 3.6r once in a while and I have to slap myself. Im sure you will miss your GT. Heck, I miss my WRX. AA mMotorworks bought it back. Keep well all.
  2. If anyone cares... Still with the Q50 RS. Haven't done anything stupid with it. I still have the 2005 G35 I bought a year ago. That car saved my Q50. I have my daily and I have my fun car. I'd list all the mods, but I am very afraid...I'll just say 450whp/350wtq in a RWD 6 speed platform. If anyone wants to reach me, it is my username at yahoo dot com.
  3. I'm so late to the game... Only if the Q50 was a sport model and you could live with the power. If the Alfa was the 4 leaf, it might be nice, but they are only available in RWD. You can do a lot of bolt-ons with the non red sport version, and maybe get the car to a 3 second 0-60, but I wouldn't recommend it. If you want a Q50, get a Red Sport and stay at factory levels. I'm quite happy I didn't go ape $hit with mods and risk my turbos or go ethanol and run into a handful of issues.
  4. Whatever you do, keep your receipts. If possible, take a photo of the oil and filter and print it. Subaru is gonna want proof of your oil changes and intervals when your motor goes. Subaru is not the only one who will play that game. Infiniti does too, so I am keeping all of my records.
  5. The car is doing great. Only have an exhaust on there, but with all the other little mods, it just plain hauls. Been contemplating ecutek, but holding off. The turbos may have a tendency to go, and I have an extended warranty on the car. For now, it will stay stock as I picked up a G35 coupe to play with. On rare occasion, the ecutek software has messed up the factory ECU and the car will not start. A local guy had to get his ECU replaced at the dealer. Add to it the serpentine belt issue and it is more than enough reason to do all the non powertrain related mods. But, absolutely, with flex fuel, dp, exhaust, upgraded hpfp and lpfp you can hit 500whp.
  6. It came modified... My wife asked me the same question but a different way..."Are you going to modify that one too?"
  7. Nice find! Rare to find a 6mt. Quick update on my lunacy...I still have my Q50, but I picked up a very clean 2005 G35 6MT. My manual itch has been scratched.
  8. That is rice. I have a modified G35 and it looks nothing like that.
  9. It doesn't make sense for us to go out and buy cars we don't want just to hope that one day the manufacturers will deliver. The EVO and STI came and we bought them. If they think we want to pay a fat markup at the dealer just to get a manual transmission for something that is average, they need to think again. Let the manufacturers walk the talk. Give us the cars you display as "teasers" instead of watered down versions. They need to be passionate about it as well.
  10. Made my list a little smaller. No DP nor BOV. GTHaus cat-back exhaut ~ just a few pounds lighter but made 13whp/11wtq...17whp at top end. Aluminum undertray ~ gained 4#. Braille Lithium battery ~ lost 26.7# Overall not too bad at around 25 pounds lighter and a few more horses. Still not tuned as we ran out of time.
