  1. Yeah, it seems some of the inspectors know what to look for. Also, having something in common helps too. I remember after having the Generac standby generator installed, when the inspector came, he reaffirmed the name of the contractor who did the wiring, who happened to be an electrician I met at work back in the early 1990's when they were building the new area I would soon be working in, I said yes, it was Steve R, he just opened the box and said good, I'm done. Yet I do recall, after renting a small backhoe to dig the 22" deep trench for the power cables, it took a long time for someone to come out and verify I did it deep enough, I seem to recall the girl in the office saying something about the town was having difficulties with hiring a reliable person at that time... that was back in 2014. I checked the dates on the photo's, I dug the trench May 24th had the conduit in June 2nd was able to have completed by Sept 13th.
  2. If your sure the engine will fire up and first start, that is the way to go. Mine started just like it does every time. If you think your going to have starting issues, pull the fuse and crank for about a minute or a little more.
  3. Starter prices are all over the place...I would not buy the cheapest. You get what you pay for. https://www.google.com/search?q=2015+Subaru+starter&rlz=1C1OKWM_enUS906US906&oq=2015+Subaru+starter&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIICAEQABgWGB4yCAgCEAAYFhgeMggIAxAAGBYYHjIICAQQABgWGB4yCAgFEAAYFhgeMggIBhAAGBYYHjIICAcQABgWGB4yCAgIEAAYFhgeMggICRAAGBYYHtIBCTg3OTJqMGoxNagCCLACAQ&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  4. Thinking more about it, you might be able to find a 45 degree street elbow. I used to make test set-ups in the Aero-Space industry, I've been using Parker fittings for decades.
  5. Search for, The Parker Store near me. Parker is a manufacture of fittings. They will have everything you could need. Also I don't see Teflon tape on those threads. A "street elbow" in the branch side of that T will allow you to mount the OEM sensor in the upright position. The street elbow may stick out enough to give clearance with the hex flats on the OEM sensor. https://www.google.com/search?q=The+Parker+store+++street+elbow&sca_esv=0058b4b1712ac891&sxsrf=ACQVn08Yhugh4faItLE9K1Z5m4CJIE7dpg%3A1713638825697&source=hp&ei=qQ0kZtKoKK6LptQPlLaPiAw&iflsig=ANes7DEAAAAAZiQbuTIl9SBeHw7G8oJ8Hc2KjMHLpR-s&ved=0ahUKEwiSoeiLutGFAxWuhYkEHRTbA8EQ4dUDCBA&uact=5&oq=The+Parker+store+++street+elbow&gs_lp=Egdnd3Mtd2l6Ih9UaGUgUGFya2VyIHN0b3JlICAgc3RyZWV0IGVsYm93MgUQIRigATIFECEYoAEyBRAhGKABMgUQIRigATIFECEYoAFI0U9QrQlYiktwAXgAkAEAmAGvAaABkBqqAQQ4LjIzuAEDyAEA-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&sclient=gws-wiz
  6. Pre-fitting, the GS tmic, may help verify that everything lines up with the brackets on the block.
  7. Not sure I'd add ATF to the oil. It might give too much cleaning during that important time. Oh, prefit the tmic to the turbo, before putting the engine back in the car. You can thank me later.
  8. Figured I'd post a recent photo. The car has around 45,800 miles now. We'll be picking up the 24' Outback XT next Friday. It will sit in the other side of the garage.
  9. I have not yet driven a car with ASS. We pick up our 24' Outback XT the end of the month. But I have noticed a change in how long the traffic light's now day's here in CT. Seems like only one side goes at a time, instead of passing traffic going at the same time. As I sit there, just after getting there as the light turns red... and waiting all the time for three other traffic flows to get the green light, I can see where using less fuel and fewer emissions have a place in life now. But now that I have been retired for almost 4 years, I look at things different now, life has slowed down. Waste and hurting the environment has become a thing now. I'm typing this at 1PM on a beautiful day sitting on my deck in the sunshine. Retirement is better than everyone say's it is, plan for it.
  10. Yeah, unless your racing, just a good set of brake parts are fine. I hope you check out the Brakes forum below. Lots of info there. Also think about flushing the old brake fluid out with a Motive Power bleeder or some other type of bleeder. You don't need special, I just use the qt bottles of DOT3 from Walmart. Your local auto parts store will have good pads and rotors, or rebuilt calipers.
  11. Just found this link after all these years. https://www.subaruoutback.org/threads/how-to-change-battery-without-your-ob-noticing.489425/
  12. Link with banjo filter locations. https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2834394
  13. That sounds like its part of the starter...? I have not seen a "brush holder assembly" You may try here, https://www.maniacelectricmotors.com/subaru.html Have you tried the junkyards site, car-part.com For the rodent issue, I recommend Tom Cat mouse blocks. I have been putting them around the property for many years to keep mice away. I throw one under the seat in my 86' Ford F150 that always sits outside. I have them on the floor in both sheds where my power equip sits and on the garage floor. Also have some in the basement by the hatchway door. I even have one by the corner of the house near one of the downspouts, where years ago I believe mice were climbing up under the corner siding and getting into the attic above the bedroom. I have also thrown blocks in that area in the attic. Also before the garage, both my Legacy's had blocks under the seats. You can find Tom Cat mouse blocks at many places, I found my local Lot's and More still has the bag of them for $7.00 which is the same price I paid for the last bag a few years ago.
  14. If you look in the Brake & suspension forum you'll find a sticky, like Clints brake tips. I have had issues with calipers for years. NAPA honored the 12 month warranty years later, Seems the reman company had issues with a jig.
