I personally ended up with a Garmin c330 and can't say anything bad about it. Plus it's nice to have a GPS that isn't restricted to one car.

I've been driving my 2005 2.5i since august. No problems with power, a ton of fun driving, cheaper than the GT, and I personally get around 28-30 mpg with mostly highway driving.

I just did it to my car the other day. Dental floss works well also to take the badges off, and instead of a hairdryer, you can also leave your car out in the sun to warm up the adhesive.
