  1. Has anybody actually tried having a machine shop re-drill their hubs to 5x114.3? I feel that it would be the easiest and most cost effective way to convert. My LGT is now front wheel drive (yes, you read that correctly) and I was thinking about doing a 5x114.3 conversion since I need the front wheel bearings replaced anyway. I was just going to get Timkens and have them re-drilled and filled along with the rears. I'll call my machine shop in the morning. I feel like it shouldn't cost that much considering that it doesn't cost that much to have wheels re-drilled and filled. At least the hubs would theoretically be simpler to machine and you don't have to worry about being the test rat for a frankenstein setup involving different knuckles and axle ends. P.S.- Sorry about the thread bump. I just wanted to see if it's already been done or if somebody has figured out a bolt and go setup before I purchase new 5x100 Timkens to have re-drilled.
  2. So are you trying to tell me that the only reason exhausts make more or less power is because of the mufflers? LOL. Usually, an aftermarket exhaust WITHOUT tuning will make around the same number, give or take, as it would without one. If you are unclear on that, you probably shouldn't hand out "advice" to people that don't know these things. And if he is going with higher boost levels, it is indeed best to go with a different intercooler and TB hose. Depending on how long the stock one holds up, it would also be smart to run an aftermarket BOV also. A stage 2 tune on an AP is primarily meant for strictly TBEs, nothing more, nothing less. It is necessary to abide by the recommendations specified by Cobb and/or your tuner because with each and every part of your power train you install, there is at least a small difference in the way the ECU will recognize it. Different things such as air and fuel mixtures as well as scaling and duty cycles will need to be altered to compliment the new parts. Hence why even the slightest difference can make your car's idle "dip" in circumstances like coming to a stop. He can run the stage 2 map with those parts if he'd like. But that's up to him to risk his longevity. So if you are not familiar with why it is essential to stick to the right parts in accordance with the tune, please do not offer a newbie advice. Thanks.
  3. Because I didn't post a link to a dyno sheet, I'm wrong? You have fingers and there are plenty of threads to prove my point. Might as well tell the guy to put a potato in his exhaust and tune it for stage 959300582. Nick, AP stage 2 is recommended only for a turbo back exhaust. (DP and catback). If you want to run the mods mentioned above, you'll need a custom tune loaded onto your AP.
  4. I think some people need to start reading up on turbocharged vehicles before they buy them. It doesn't matter if it is as small as a TD04, a stock exhaust will be restrictive and a staged map will be most efficient with the corresponding parts.
  5. ^who told you that? They obviously have no knowledge in back pressure/exhaust gas restriction.
  6. If anyone near Jacksonville wants to buy a 06 WRX CS Style lip modified for an LGT bumper, let me know. $80. I also have some 215/40/18 tires if anyone is looking for some brand new ones. (Delinte D7)
  7. Or I'll do it for you for $150. I'm in Jacksonville. If you have the parts, I'll do it for you. The dealership will rip you off for over $300-400 in labor alone.
  8. Is everyone going to the Northern Florida Subaru meet on the 25th? I will be going to the Sonic Meet on Saturday.
  9. I should finally be completing my move from PA to Jacksonville in about 2 weeks. Are there any upcoming meets in the area within the next couple months?
  10. If anyone wants my tan door cars, I'm letting them go for $75 for all 4. Glovebox for $15
