  1. Lol, thanks, I am retarded..... It all made sense once I read the flow direction I was mistakenly thinking the particulates were collecting on the inside of the mesh not between the mesh and outer housing. All good.
  2. Can some one post pics or video of the filter taken apart for cleaning ? I just got mine, and the inner filter mesh, seems glued to the housing. I just dont want to mess it up during cleaning. thanks
  3. Maybe this will help http://febon.blogspot.com/2012/02/1.html this is a uvc capture stick. You can use existing composite cameras to send to andorid. It acts like a regular usb cam input. And the backup cam can be hooked up to reverse and operate normally.
  4. are you using composite video cams or usb ones ?
  5. I just switched over to galaxy s4, and wow, its amazing. I used to run bluetooth tethering from my s3, and it ate like 2-~3% an hour of use. Now I am running striaght wifi hotspot on LTE and 4~5% drain per hour. I am currently on tasker..... I am planning to install a Qi wireless charger into the center armrest area, and use that to drive "wifi hotspot" on off via tasker.
  6. The pogo pin was liberated from the asus dock for n7, got it for ~35 from B&H in NYC http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=899329&Q=&is=REG&A=details In the end, you will find ~35 reasonable compared to putting one together. Initially I had gone semi ghetto homemade, but it would only charge. the official board puts the N7 into dock mode; I use this to put N7 into daydream after 1 minute. so its mostly black background with a clock, saves battery, and i only have to touch the screen to unlock.
  7. Zero gap. I made the bezel from 7" inch monitor housing into stock non nav bezel with flexible epoxy. If you look at the pic with just bezel back side, you will see a flat surface where the screen mounts. Using .5mm 3m double sided foam tape aroud the perimeter to hold and cushion the glass.
  8. Got it installed into bezel Power button via stereo mini jack for quick disconnect to momentary bulgin switch installed into shifter bezel. Last install into car, audio to fiio, to aux in stock radio.
  9. Pogo charger, so it goes to daydream, audio out with isolated ground. Everything is modded via the back cover, no actual hardware on the nexus seven is modded, so replace the back cover its back to stock. More pics soon
  10. LOL, When I had mine, I had it tied to bulgin switch on shifter housing. It used to power button for my CARPC, that was re-purposed. Some tablets will have an actual switch to wire into, others are SMC. Though I should have something new and cool, and week or two. Best of both worlds maybe.
  11. How are you doing on/wake ? The problem Ive had with tablets as such, installed, vs mounted is the installed most of the time makes the power button inaccessible. Unless you make it never sleep, I don't know of any app, or android device that does wake on soft button. If its just surface mounted then it should be fine. You should also be able to get a cable that does usb/audio out. Though even those might be limited to 500 mA.
  12. Please delete if inappropriate I need to go back to stock, so selling my setup, screen in custom bezel and nettop. Thought interested ppl might check here before the FS threads. Linky Thanks
  13. I have my netbook powered off the cig adaptor but ran internally. I have the clock relocation kit.....so cig had to deaded anyways. Not sure about the xanerac ? Not sure that will fir into the cubby, there is a brace behind the cubby, so pull out the cubby and check your spacing. i just assumed you were getting a touch screen monitor.
  14. Use a netbook, they are el cheapo, you don't really need the processing power. d510 based one are ~$200-300. Comes with everything you will need. As NSFW said....power management, power management, power management. Rigging up on off is a hassle, and tapping into ACC or IGN, using DC to DC off battery etc....... netbooks, with in power, let it never sleep, and even shut of the minitor if needed, cat turns off, goes on internal battery, after 5 minutes, have it sleep. Set to wake on usb, ie touch the screen....ready to use under 5~6 secs.
