Plugged in my Scan Gauge for the first time, and noticed that the whole panel (with OBDC connector) is really floppy, just seems to hang down. Is that normal?

Congrats! The most definitive way to identify "last made" will be from the last 5 digits of the VIN. The highest I've seen so far (on cars.com) is around 42300.
