  1. Sold my 2005 LGT Wagon three months ago at 170K miles. All stock, no major repairs.
  2. I just checked my 2005 LGT Wagon and the rear hatch light doesn't come on when you open the driver's door (the roof light only comes on). When you open the rear hatch, both the rear hatch light and the roof light come on.
  3. I think the rear wagon light only comes on when you open the real lift gate. but it's too late to test that now...
  4. If I understand correctly what you're asking, the answer is "no problem" in either case. I switch back and forth from manual mode to Drive mode without much of a thought.
  5. All I have to offer is that I've never heard those sounds in my 5eat.
  6. For the temperature control, not that I know of. It's automatic, period. The best we can do is tweek the temp controls to keep the car the temperature we want since it doesn't seem to hold a constant temperature inside. Very lame. But for the rest, if you change a setting it takes that control out of automatic. For example, if you set the fan blower speed, then that's the speed and it doesn't change unless you go back to fill automatic.
  7. Trust me that I know my own strengths and lack of same :-)
  8. Does anyone or any shop do this mod as a service? In particular, Northern California.
  9. True, they operate the same if the shifter is in S position. If the shifter is in D position and you use a button to shift, it will go back to D mode if you release the gas pedal then press it again (or something close to that).
  10. That's pretty much the range of temps here in the San Francisco Bay Area, with 100F being common as we drive East through the central valley in the summer. My point is that I've never even heard of a transmission cooler or anyone using or needing one here.
  11. Just happened onto this thread. 1726 2005 Legacy GT wagon AT Ltd. 162.....OBP.....2005 Legacy GT wagon AT Ltd (blk)
  12. I don't really know the answer to your question, but I don't notice anything in my 2005 LGT auto when braking normally (in Drive). It doesn't noticeably downshift while braking.
