  1. cklewis that looks like the right solution for a wagon. I'm trying to unload my inventory of Subie parts prior to moving.
  2. Subaru Part No. ST4430021011, STi Quad Tip Exhaust for JDM Legacy wagon (turbo). Purchased January 2022 from Nengun Performance, paid $1,629.40. Replaced with stock mufflers August 2022. In excellent condition. They are packed in USDM muffler boxes, each weighs just shy of 20 lbs. $800.00 shipped to Cont'l US. NOTE: These more ideally fit the shorter JDM rear bumper. They do not extend from the USDM rear bumper so as to display the 'STi" engraved on the tips, but have a nice rumbly sound as Subaru intended.
  3. Hey, all, this news slammed me today. I just bought the latest V3 AP on April 5, and they didn't say jack squat about this. Moreover, the shop I've worked with for years -- trying not to name them here because of their relationship to Cobb -- has just completed a 2-month project on my 05 wagon. I took the car in February for a JDM TD04HLA twinscroll swap with AVO intercooler, downpipe and EBCS. As they got into the swap, however, the 169k motor needed replacing. I acquired an OEM shortblock and a set of new B25 head castings off these great forums. The shop finally started it yesterday and are sorting out the car for break-in tune, as this news came in. Their suggestion today is to use the car's older AP for break-in tune, and acquire an EcuTek for the subsequent tune. Try to return this paperweight V3... "EcuTek is our solution so it's not a big deal, only sad part is the fact they they dropped this bombshell on us without any notices... EcuTek has the appropriate ROMS, open source is a hijacked version of EcuTek" I want to add, the aspects of my swap affected by this are (1) the JDM intake which is TGV-less, and (2) the JDM twinscroll exhaust which has no EGR sensor in the up-pipe. They're among the "toggled" items regarding exhaust/emissions. I'm sure it was a tough decision for Cobb, but geez, why can't the tuning of an automobile be left to the owner of the automobile?
  4. If you have the OEM swaybars, I presently have a set of Whiteline swaybars on my 05 LGT wagon and would like to return to stock ... lmk if you're interested in a trade of some kind.
  5. #463 for sale in Austin: https://austin.craigslist.org/cto/6064222258.html
  6. Here's #315, which I rescued from a Subaru dealership's pre-owned department in Detroit. The sales office had no idea what was on their lot. I asked a lady to check and see if there was a numbered plate on the shifter bezel. Turns out, yes, there was! So, I bought it, had it shipped to Denver, smogged & registered it, then drove it to Sacramento, where the wrecked hulk of #271 was dismantled and the cool parts transferred to this one (JDM twinscroll, pinks, Brembo's, et al), plus a very nice 6mt swap. All was designed to stay as OEM as possible. The car features: * TD04HL-19t twinscroll turbo setup * JDM engine covers * SPT exhaust * AVO downpipe * FluiDampr harmonic balancer * Cobb AP running previous dyno tune on #271 by MZM Performance * STi Brembo brakes * STi "Pink" coil springs on stock USDM Bilsteins * Whiteline swaybars F&R with lock collars * AVO rear swaybar reinforcement brackets, powder-coated flat grey * STi front strut brace * STi lower arm bar * JDM "tuned by STi" wheels * Bridgestone RE050A run-flats, 225/40/18 * JDM transmission (TY856WVBAA w/long gears 2-6 from RalliSpec) * R160 rear diff 3.90 LSD (from WRX) * custom driveshaft * STi shift knob * JDM "tuned by STi" front lip * JDM "tuned by STi" rear badge * JDM "tuned by STi" sill plates * P-204UH head unit w/SiriusXM module
  7. I also own #315, purchased from Sellers Subaru, Macomb, MI, in October 2015, and has been a project to remove all the parts from #271 and install them along with a 6mt swap. It's almost ready, and I'm giddy to drive it. #271 is RIP as of 8/31/2015, btw: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/my-2006-spec-b-271-500-thread-236454.html?t=236454
  8. I purchased #95 from AZZMAN. It's really nice, presently awaiting a new engine ordered from Subaru dealer.
  9. I recently acquired #315, a clean, single-owner beauty with 120k miles.
  10. I wrecked and totaled #271 last week in rural Utah http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/my-2006-spec-b-271-500-thread-236454.html?p=5228323#post5228323
  11. Ah, good input, thanks! I'm honestly more interested in doing this swap correctly, albeit inexpensively. The car has a JDM twinscroll setup (bought from Underdog), so it is essentially a stock Subaru turbo and very smooth yet not crazy powerful. I think the R160 is plenty strong for my use of the car, if I can stick with that. Plenty of them to find, too. Front axles?
  12. Kennedy.Youmans, nice to have met you at FW Motorsports last week. Sweet ride you got right there. - Ralph
  13. Howdy, all, I'm in pursuit of a parts list. I've acquired a '05 JDM Spec B 6-speed transmission, TYC856WVBAA, which I desire to install in my '06 Spec B. *JDM unit has 3.90 final drive ratio and was originally matched to a R160 diff. Can I use any USDM R160 with 3.90 gears? *JDM unit lacks a speed sensor, what can I do about that? Thanks for your input, Ralph
