  1. Big difference between this and the spec b is the locking diffs, spec b is open. Its definitely a pricey swap once you round up all the stuff but it was definitely worth it for the setup I had. I think I got the trans/dif axles for $3500 though. But make sure to do the math on a clutch, sti master cylinder, auto or spec b drive shaft, and rear axles. It adds up fast.
  2. Sold- mods can close. Thanks for all the support in my (not-always healthy) 10 year LGT relationship
  3. I mean, I would rather have bought this for $13k than spend the $20k to build it, and the PO built the motor As for a roller, probably depends on condition, your market, and mods. Probably $2-3k max though. Update on the car, over the weekend I reinstalled the Tarmacs, put in the front Spec B arms with new whiteline bushings as well as the Group N motor mounts. Car is feeling best it ever has.
  4. Hey there, it's still active. Had a few people interested. I've been chipping away at installing some of the parts. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions
  5. bump for lowered price, didn't realize all the flexfuel drama
  6. Thanks Boxkita, means something coming from you This is over a decade of work and two chassis assembling these parts. I don't even want to know how many $$$$. We're trying to build a house (which has gotten really expensive lately) and she's just sitting and I'd much prefer to see her get used.
  7. Year, Make and Model: 2005 Legacy GT Wagon Limited Color: BSM Miles: 176,xxx Transmission: 6MT (05 Forester STI dual LSD) Title: NM- Clean Lien: None Location: Santa Fe, NM VIN: (4S3BP676956369428) Seller's email address: (dwerwath at gmail . com) Asking Price: $13,000 firm w/ all uninstalled parts Reposting this from last fall This car is pretty well sorted, and I have all the final parts to make this already car even more radical, but no time to install them. The car is road protuned by Cam Tuning @21 PSI I've been building LGT's for about 10 years, you've probably come across a post of mine here or there. The car used to be owned by LGT member Morning Woodie Wagon. I bought it in July of 2017, and started from his great work and took it to the next level. My goal was to build the most perfect ultra high performance LGT wagon daily driver. It has almost every upgrade imaginable. And the rest of the parts to finish the ultimate build. The only issues with the car are some cosmetic stuff with the repainted front bumper (extra JDM included) and a handful of small surface imperfections, I'd say in very good condition for a 16 yo car. Interior is 9/10 not rips or tears in seats etc. Priced as a deal for someone who knows how rare a 6mt wagon is, what all these parts are worth, and wants the ultimate LGT wagon. Message me for more background. Almost all of this car's history and build is documented on here. MWW had a full maintenance records. Here's the parts list- note some stuff is not installed yet, tons of stock and replacement parts as well that will come with it. 8. Hey there, I've decided to hold off on selling for the time being. Thanks for all the interest.
  9. I wouldn't exactly call it a comfortable daily for a family in New Mexico with kids. Super stiff suspension, heavy clutch and looooow to the ground which is a real thing here. And it wasn't me who wanted the VW wagon but point taken. And yeah, I guess the issue is I don't really drive much at all, walk to my work, etc. So I just don't get to enjoy it much. Reality is, that this isn't worth nearly as much to someone else as it is to me. Probably just need to eek out just a bit more wrenching and driving time. And a house with more parking
  10. Did we talk way back about your black 6mt sedan that was for sale?
  11. Yeah, he's a great dude, and it was definitely bittersweet for him. Although he seemed to be enjoying his Fiesta ST and I'm sure he was pumped for the Stage 2 upgrade he got to do when he sold it.
  12. Yeah, we got the Alltrack with 6mt for $21k brand new, hard to beat, its a great car. Feels like an evolution of the LGT in a lot of ways, with a way higher quality interior. Tuning is weird with these though. Can chip/dp it to +80tq +60hp which should keep me happy when I start to get bored but I'm still trying to figure out the VW turbo tuning. I had a bunch of NA vw's back in the day, but lots changed since CIS injection.
  13. thanks for all the great work you did on that car when it was Jacob's. motor is still super strong, no oil consumption.
  14. yeah, part of why I got out of the 911 was the fear of a $10k engine rebuild! My daily is an 86 4runner with a long travel suspension, so I can relate to how much fun and practical the truck is, especially out here in NM. So many places to explore. But then I take the wagon up my fave twisty roads and I get all the feels again. Part of it is that the wagon is so quick, I don't drive it enough to feel super confident pushing it anymore
  15. I spent a lot of time searching to find the Forester STI 6MT with the rare combo of stock long gears like the Spec b's and the F/R locking dif's. And yes, the helmhotz resonator is pretty amazing. Paired with the Wagolis cans, its about as perfect an exhaust note as I would ever could hope for. No drone, amazing sound, and you can hear it when you need to.
