  1. I definitely don't want any death crystals in my tires.
  2. I have been looking at the autostop eliminator, but don't like the idea of plugging something into the eyesight camera module... also - while I try to remember to turn it off when I get going in the car, more often than not I make it all the way home without it ever triggering - you have to push the brake pedal down pretty far before the system kicks in (I tend to brake then as you are coming to a complete stop, lift up a little on the brake pedal so that you don't get the abrupt "hard stop" (not sure how to describe it - it's something I have always done when stopping so that it isn't jarring when the brakes finally grab at the end)
  3. It doesn't look like there is anything on pin 8 for the MY14 NAV. Ground is pin 6. The NAV is already set up to take a camera, isn't it? I would think the main problem would be that the OEM camera is 5V and many of the aftermarket ones are 12V, so you need a step up transformer to drive them (that's what I did on my old MY12)
  4. we'll be doing wider rims (8.5") and better tires - you don't skimp on tires or brakes.
  5. You can configure the time the dome light stays on via the screen for 0/10/20/30 seconds - I'm guessing the default is 30 seconds. Does anyone know who makes the OEM battery for Subaru?
  6. I like the idea of a light bar, but something like that would almost certainly get wrecked in my trunk (assuming Murphy is in full effect when I put thing into/take them out of the trunk) - I ended up going with one of the vleds 14 LED 194 bulbs - very bright (rated at 90 lumens - I also used them for the lights on the underside of the door cards). Would have loved to use one of the 26 LED ones, but I didn't think it would fit under the little grating for the fixture
  7. I am going through some of the same thoughts - for the Avid GT tires (assuming you still have those) the 225/50-18 says it will go on a rim from 7-8" in width Have you test fit the new wheels yet? How much clearance do you have between the tire sidewall and the strut?
  8. How much clearance do you need between the sidewall of the tire and the strut tube? I have about 22mm stock - if I were to go with tires that were 13mm away, in my head I should be just fine since the wheel/strut move as an assembly, but I didn't know if there was anything weird about the tires flexing as you drive (was thinking most of the deflection is at the bottom/contact patch with the road, and the upper part of the tire stays pretty much in the same position...
  9. VLEDS micro extreme LEDs in the H7 size - these are the 5000K color temperature LEDs and are rated at 4500 lumens per bulb. I ran a set of these on my Legacy GT for 4 years before it was totalled - they are great. I picked these up a while back when they went on clearance since the all-black design came out. This set is brand new, never used. $70+shipping
  10. Cobb AccessPort model AP3-SUB-003 Currently has 2012 Legacy GT maps on it, but maps for other vehicles can be downloaded for free from Cobb. Includes the accessport, OBD2 cable, zippered case, and an optional blue cover (has the standard grey one installed) - has part of the mounting kit (magnetic base that the accessport snaps into) $400+actual shipping costs
  11. You can buy the CD player accessory (the one that goes in the center console) for $320 (MSRP - can be found about $50 less online (probably $30 less once you figure shipping) - part number for the kit is H621SAN000. The install looks to be pretty annoying A cheaper option might be to pick up a bluetooth portable CD player (there are a bunch of them on Amazon for $50 and below)
