  1. Yup bolted right in. Even ballast compartment under lights fit fine.
  2. I didn't see it in my posting, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TRY TO POLISH THE INSIDE OF THE LENS!!! there are protective coatings on the inside of the headlight lens. It is probably UV or antireflective stuff. I tried cleaning and buffing only to find a haze/film. I buffed some more, and more, and more. I never was able to get them crystal clear again, but pretty close. My wife couldn't even tell, but I am extremely picky. I purchased some headlight protectors from x-pel or something. They have worked great and I was paranoid about UV protection. The xpel covers provide that.
  3. My first set of bulbs went out a couple weeks ago and I just got some on amazon for very cheap 4300k Maxlux bulbs. They look just as good as the original phillips bulbs I had since 2010.

This is really easy from the top. less than an hour(I have a cold air intake, so that helped) I have all different bits and pieces to go from a 1/4 to a 1/2 drive and vice versa, plus extensions for both. If you have some of those drive kink/angle adapters, they help also. Using a combination of some of these, I was able to find the correct length to get them all out easily and I was even able to get a 1/4" drive torque wrench in to the back plugs.
  6. That is incorrect. They are supposed to throw light out at least 25 ft. If they don't, you need to adjust them properly. Lots of people seem to think that foglights are useless. Take a flashlight and go stand in front of a mirror. Keep the flashlight flat and eye level, what do you see? Nothing, you are blinded by the reflection. Now take the flashlight and keep it level, but lower it two feet, now what happens? You will still see some light, but it is not an almost direct reflection. This would be my logical reasoning as to why fog lights are low on a car and yes, in theory and application, they do help by not reflecting light directly back at you off of water particles in fog.
  7. Crap I need to finish this. I will try to this weekend. I took some videos, but they are large, I can email some clips if interested. I will reduce their size this week, but will probably wait until i get my new Phillips ultinon 6000k and Denso ballasts installed and add something about that to this thread at the same time when I finish it.

  9. Leveling Switch is in progress. I think the level switch part number is a JDM part #83002AG000 and should be about $40(USD) plus shipping. My first attempt was to create my own with some connectors and epoxy, but then I just purchased the Toyota parts instead. Yes, I said Toyota, they share many connectors. The part numbers for the connectors are Toyota part # 90980-11016 (should be about $6 online a piece and you need two) and the wires are Toyota part #82998-12440 (you will need 6 of these and they are overpriced at about $4.50 online a piece)
  10. You will need to mount the resistors on a metal surface with some metal screws or nuts and bolts. THEY GET VERY VERY HOT!!!! Make sure they will not touch any plastic and it is probably a good idea to pick a piece of car frame that is not in direct relation to the paint on the outside of the car. If you can see from this picture, I got some wood screws and mounted them with a ton of washers onto a tab in the fender. I routed the DDM HID headlight harness cables through the small holes on either side of the radiator and made sure that it will not come into contact with any hot surfaces.
  11. completed lights. I only had pictures of the backs for some reason. I will add some of them on my car when I get my car back from the shop.
  12. Sealing the headlight covers. I did this with the same gasket strip that I used on the ballast covers. It has held up through many carwashes and about 6 months of use without any condensation in my headlights.
