  1. Won't work..... there is not a complete bushing kit for this generation. The is a thread with all the bushings needed to rebuild. Stock ones should be fine if you want to maintain a comfortable ride.
  2. Stock Forester tires are 5% bigger in diameter than 98 lgt tires, which is probably why you had the tires rubbing. Although the rim size is the same, it doesn't mean the height of the sidewalls are the same. Forester uses 215-60 R16 Tires Legacy uses 205-55 R16 Tires I used a tire calculator to compare the forest tires to the legacy tires: https://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator/205-55R16/215-60R16/205-55R16
  3. it does matter the arrow on the top hat need to be in line with the bolts./ facing out.. the angle allows the strut to rotate..... I had miss aligned the top hat on my car and had to redo it.
  4. see thread #288 http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=31270661 Information about suspension upgrades too: http://www.sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3033
  5. right now i have tribeca bar on the front with whiteline links....and an adjustable ralitek bar kit in the rear..... ..i have the sedan......the struts i have, need to be replaced (my car bounces) so i bought legacy bd KYB struts, and they are waiting to be installed... i purchase 02 wrx springs with 5,000 miles on them for $55 shipped, and figure i would upgrade the springs at the same time i upgraded my struts...just trying to figure out what i need to make it work
  6. sry to keep bugging you kenny, but you are saying subaru legacy 1998 kyb excel g struts wont work with 02 wrx springs? but if they i do i still need impreza front top hats?
  7. wrx wagon suspension for wagons......wrx sedan suspension for sedan...... i cant answer peacedaddys lowering question.....but @pleaidestar just got the 02 wrx springs last week and by looking at them they are not smaller at the top for the front springs ......from reading 03 wrx springs required the impreza top hats in the front to work..... i will post the result after the install next weekend
  8. That thread would be helpful for me also, looking to install 2002 wrx shocks on some new legacy bd KYB struts, was wondering if I could reuse my bd strut tops, going to the junk yard to get used top hats, sleeves and bumpers tomorrow for the swap so I can do it all in one.
  9. Raceland ultimos vs kyb excel g with springs tbd.......which would be a better dd? planning on getting an 04 lgt in 2 years
  10. didnt seems like that much work, but havnt really heard much about ppl using them. been trying to find low mileage 04 sti suspension for under $200, but still have not found anything yet
  11. might help http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/exhaust-audio-video-clip-compilation-thread-102170.html
