  1. From reading a lot of post reference your questions DRL'S make HID'S "strobe" if you will when they are still connected. Making the HID's virtually useless/impossible to function properly. I wouldn’t spend the money on HID's if you can't disconnect the DRL's. I have an 07’ Spec.B and on mine the DRL box was against the firewall and up to the left of the clutch pedal. The box had a very hard to read orangish/yellow stick on top that said DRL’S. The box also had two connectors plugged into one black and one white. Pull the white one. It was hard to see the connector without removing the whole under dash panel. I did have to remove the connector that was attached to under dash panel as well as the three panel clips. Hope this helps.
  2. I have an 07' Spec.B and I only pulled the blue/black stripe wire, not the brown (left it alone) and everything works perfect (no parking lights staying on issue) not sure if the brown wire is necessary. I would only recommend pulling the blu/blk.
  3. Thanks Deer Killer!! I hate DRL's it takes away the driver's choice of having the lights on or off and cost much more when they burn out all the time! I even got a ticket when I had the DRL's due to standing out much more than the other cars, well the speed didn't help either:lol:! This took me a while....till I found this thread about the 07' DRL blue/black wire: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=913328&postcount=67 Just a thought Deer Killer, you may want to edit your original post to indicate that this works for other years if you take out the blue/black stripe wire like the above post shows how to do. It would make your thread much more user friendly since it's so big now!
  4. In the words of my friend, an experienced Subaru mechanic, "It's a pain.... in the a$$ to change the spark plugs with that in the way!" So +1 for easier to work on and +1 for the weight loss! I think I’m gonna tackle mine when I get closer to the 60K service which is still a long way away! Has anyone who’s done this actually had to pass emissions yet?? I looking for a real delete and emissions pass! My friend also said some emissions places will look for the Pump and if it’s gone you will not pass… Of course this would be someone who had to know it was there in the first place and this is specific to Colorado.
