08 Legacy wood trim interior replacement
The 2008 Spec B comes with an all - silver panel trim on the dash and around the console bezel. All the 2.5GTL's I saw only had a wood trim. The dealership said that they couldn't swap it out, is there a part number for the all silver version and if so, has anyone had any luck swapping it out?

The LGT's have the same silver styling on the door handles and the actual radio faceplate. But everything else is a plastic looking wood trim.

While not a joy killer... it would be nice to swap it out to look like the spec B's.

I just bought a 08 2.5 limited w/o the wood, I wouldn't mind swapping out for yours if that would work.

This is a shot of my interior. Is this the silver you were referring to?

Soda Popinski 04-21-2008 02:36 PM

Yes, thats the interior. I'll take pictures after work.

I have silver trim and I really want the wood, I might be willing to do a trade if its easy enough to replace.

i'll trade :P, the side pieces are easy that run along the radio, but I think mine are silver already... it's more so on the console by the glove box and the dashboard.

Anyone know how to pull it off the dash without breaking it?

You might need a 'panel popper' for the pieces above the glove box. If you search for wood trim replacement there is someone with good directions.

Is yours the shiny or the matte wood?

Soda Popinski 04-25-2008 01:28 AM

shiny wood. I'll have pics soon I promise

I'd also consider swapping my 08 shiny wood for the OEM silver ... or anything not "wood" for that matter.

I need to go count the number of pieces. I'm assuming anything silver in my car is wood in yours, front and back?

Ummmm why don't you just sand em and paint em??????? Should not be too hard.
