Any more shorty DP?
 

Anyone know if there will be any more shorty DPs produced? Seems like they are on backorder at all of the vendors.

Yes, there will be more downpipes. The LGT pipes are undergoing an update like the Impreza ones are. They'll be unlike anything else on the market and we're really excited about them... they're just taking for-freakin'-ever.

Yes, they shall. Even though 95% of people running a stock-location turbo will not see power gains of more than a HP to maybe 5 hp going from 2.5 to 3" piping, we know the industry standard is 3" and everybody thinks they need 3" so 3" it shall be :p

You're info update just helped me make my decision. It was between Crucial and Cobb for my DP, I'll wait for the Crucial. Hopefully not too long though!

Yeah, I know the 3" is probably more than I'd need, but: I have read so many time that "2.5 or 3" doesn't matter untill xxxhp, just pick one and stay with it with every thing past the turbo" Problem here is if you are going to run a aftermarket cat back it will be a 3" Pipe to the Y. SO the 3" just seems to make a little more sense with the availible CB's...

Yeah, except that most catbacks (and 3" downpipes) neck down to a 2.5" donut gasket anyway. Might as well be 2.5 the whole time and save the turbulence going from 3" to 2.5 then back to 3" :p

Our downpipe will be ending in a 3" flat flange. Hopefully there are a few choices of LGT catbacks out there w/ 3" flat flanges also. No donut here. No 2.5" section once the piping steps up to 3"....

Oh, so we are looking at a full length DP? Cool! Hopefully there is a catted version with an O2 bung for tuning! :)

Haha. You're sort of right and sort of not. It will be capable of being run (and purchased) as a shorty bolted up to the OEM midpipe/final cat pipe (or aftermarket replacement thereof) but it will be designed to be full length. You will not have to make a permanent decision between catless and catted. There will most definitely be an auxiliary O2 sensor bung.

cool ill go 3" and sell my old 2.5
