RSK B4 OEM Service Manual

I will be working on a JDM B4 in a little bit and wanted some info on it first. I have done some looking around and was unable to come up answers for these questions and created more question in the process. I will be taking some parts from the B4 and putting them on a US Legacy.

First:
Are the Australia / New Zealand Legacies (Liberties) the same as a JDM? If not what are the differences?

Second:
If the differences are minor where can I get a Factory Service Manual for a B4 RSK, specifically the wiring? I would prefer the CD version but what ever works. I looked at the Australia eBay but found nothing. I could use the manual from the JDM B4 but I donít speak Japanese.

Finally:
What does RSK stand for? Is there a difference between a B4 and a RSK-B4 and is there a difference between a Legacy and a Liberty.

Thanks for the help :)

Hi Mate

Here's a link to other links for Service Manuals. Not specifically for a B4, but they may help.

There are some minor differences but I'm not really sure about the details that are likely to affect what you want to do. In Australia the Legacy is known as Liberty due to problems with using the name Legacy here. There are obvious differences such as no rear wiper, back panel saying Subaru instead of Legacy, etc but that's not the sort of thing that is going to worry you.

As far as I know RSK stands for Road Sports Kompressor.

The naming can get a bit confusing at times. With BE series a JDM B4 RS is a 2.0l normally aspirated car and a B4 RSK is a 2.0l twin turbo. In Australia the 2.0 litre twin turbo is known as the B4 whereas the normally aspirated cars didn't use the B4 nomenclature. I'm not 100% sure but I believe New Zealand just get JDM models anyway so they probably use the same naming as the Japs.
