Portland area installer for Aux in mod?

Hi,

I would like to buy the Jazzy kit, but have no time to install it. Does anyone know of a reputable shop or person in the Portland area that would install the kit?

I don't have a zillion dollars to spend. However, since I put 25k miles on my car annually, I need a plug in for my IPOD!

Thanks.

John

Radio Exchange

Has anyone tried to upgrade their 2005 Legacy 6 CD Changer with Auto HVAC with a 2007/2008/2009 unit? I looked in an exchange book and the "harness" is supposed to be different. If you could upgrade, you would be able to play mp3's and hook up XM/Sirius.

I just got the aux-in kit from Red Floyd. Installed in less then 1 hr...including CF wrapping of radio trim. Works GREAT!

Super busy with Family over the weekend so not til after that. All i did was install the kit with the mini-plug and switch in the center console. Took a some time to get everything apart, solder the board into the deck, and then back together but WELL worth it!

Since I had everything apart, I laid 3M CF film over the side trim of the radio and around the shifter since mine is all scratched up. I have a bit left so I might use it to rid the back gate of the chrome strip...

I has a jazzy mod input for sale. And hoenstly any decent shop should be able to handle this with the instructions from jazzys site.

When we took mine out I had my friend who is a BMW interior guy. And it was really easy. Especially if you have a manual as you dont need to remove the center console/e brake surround.

You're really new here aren't you? ;)

Yes, I have an '07 stereo in my '05 wagon. Not sure what harness you're looking at and what diagram you're using but I wouldn't pay them any mind as it's totally plug 'n play. Works great. :D

I've also got the iPod Integration kit that Subaru offers for the newer models.

Here's a complete thread on this topic. There are others you'll find with a quick search but this is the most complete.

I've also got the steering wheel from an '07 spec b that has the controls for the radio (channel change and volume control).

Cheers!
