New member from MD!

Former VW guy and current Toyota/Subaru owner!

I've had my Tacoma for coming up on three years and it has, mostly, treated me well. However, I miss being able to take off ramps and turns without fear of flipping. The amount of miles I drive to work combined with gas prices are hurting my wallet and the resale value of my truck. I've put 52k on it in the last two and halfish years.

So, I picked up a 98 Legacy L wagon earlier this week for a second car to save on gas and keep miles off of my truck. I probably won't go nuts in the way of modifications. Maybe JDM headlights and fogs, possibly a factory wagon spoiler. Perhaps a stereo upgrade at some point and WRX suspension parts are in the future but probably not any time soon.

LegacyGT seems like a great resource and I have already been reading all of the FAQ's related to 2nd gen cars!

Hopefully my Legacy passes inspection tomorrow so I can start driving it!

Welcome and when you get a moment, post photos of both the Subaru and the truck please.

Thanks!

I keep forgetting to take shots of the Legacy. I want to do some before and after photos. The interior needs a deep cleaning and the paint could use a clay bar/buff/wax. I'll post some up tomorrowish.

Welcome to the Subaru family. MD has a lot of local meet ups in Silver Spring, Rockville and other places.

I personally stay away from a lot of the WRX/STi meetups - seems like all of them are rich high schoolers with no appreciation for their vehicles.

Right outside of DC.

I may hit up some meets once I get my Legacy sorted. It needs a wax and buff job pretty badly along with a rear bumper.
