Longblock? Why not shortblock?

Excuse my ignorance. I say this because when the PO of my spec b had the turbo blown, he replaced the shortblock.

My intelligence of shortblock and longblock are little to none :spin:

if its driven at all with a blown turbo, metal particles get into oil... which goes EVERYWHERE, and usually cam journals pay the price... usually
SB- lower end only
LB- lower end w/ cylinder heads

Short block= no heads.
Long block= short block + heads.

EDIT: ^beat me by a second ;)

shortblock = lower end
longblock = everything (including heads)

I would imagine this car just needs the shortblock, but could potentially just put a new turbo on it and be fine. Could also potentially need an entirely new engine/longblock

you did learn!!!

The engine is fine. The car was towed as soon as the turbo went. I didn't want to risk it.

Price is Negotiable
