Looking to change the fluid and filter in my 05 lgt 5eat. What is the best fluid/filter to use and how much fluid does it take?

Best fluid & filter should be OEM Subaru for your 5EAT. If you drain oil pan only , around 4-5 quarts. Have fun ...
