Down pipe related: Is there any reason why I shouldn't/couldn't?

I have a line on a non-catted down pipe at an attractive price, but I want a catalytic converter so I can be a socially responsible citizen. Is there any reason I shouldn't/couldn't install a stand-alone catalytic converter similar to this one for less than $50?

IDK per say oh well that cat will hold up to the turbo that's what i planned on doing as well two low cell count high flow cats to make it easy to pass inspection.

That's just a pain in the ass. You're better off finding a catted downpipe.

I concur. either put the non-catted on or go with one designed with a cat to begin with.

Through a fortuitous chain of events, I bought the catless downpipe and traded it for a catted downpipe. I now have an Invidia catted downpipe on its way.

Thanks for the advice!
