How rare is this?

So, I'm not hocking this car, or anything, just happened to see it in my semi-regular perusal of CL for "Legacy GT". .

I've never seen that brown before -- like, ever. Was that an order-only option in 05? This thing looks pretty cherry overall, but, reads like it's got intake and exh already, and no tune, so, YMMV. .

custom job, get the VIN # and run it thru search
radio is from 07-09 too

boxkita 02-28-2013 10:15 AM

aren't those spec b seats?

.:Catalyst:. 02-28-2013 10:19 AM

No those are too brown and no perforated leather in the seating area. if they are aftermarket they matched the stitching and included the SRS Airbag tags as well.

Silverline is a shop in Portland that does salvage title work. So this car coild very well be a Frankenstein of different years a d models of LGT. I would steer clear of them, they are notorious for shotty work and a sketchy shop.

DO NOT buy ANYTHING from silverline.

They are being sued by multiple people for changing odometer/ shitty half ass repairs / and not doing things by the book. They have already been reported to the BBB by many people. I have friends that have bought cars from them with so many things wrong I can't even begin to list.

Every single car from them has a recontructed/branded title. They buy them from auction and fix them up just enough to sell. My friend looked at an STi they had except it had a FORESTER motor put in. Another friend later took out his door panels to install premium speakers only to see they had jimmy rigged the wiring on ones that dont work properly.

Please stay away. They are known throughout the Portland area and not in a good way.

the LGT was originally an Unlimited with cloth seats. you can see this by the fact that it has no sunroof.

MrTris 02-28-2013 10:58 AM

Wow, and here I thought they were OK. . . I'm still shocked they've got that many R8s -- that's alot for one dealership -- Even Sunset Audi only has a couple in the showroom at a time.

Well, now I kinda wanna get under the hood of this thing and see what they've done. Does this mean they've given LGT stuff, but mated to an NA 5sp?

GTEASER 02-28-2013 10:58 AM

^^What these guys are saying. I would steer serveral planets clear of that dealer/shop. I almost bought a car from them that they SAID had previous rear damage. I did my research and found pics of the car. The back was barely dented but the front was smashed all to hell (frame damage) with both air bags deployed. They outright lied in the advertisement for that car, and directly to me in our conversations.

GTEASER 02-28-2013 10:59 AM

They have R8's cuz they have all been totaled and rebuilt. You could piece those things together for not much money if you have cheap labor and even at below market, you'll still make a killing selling them as reconstructed as long as they look nice. Especially if you lie about where the damage was located and have your buyer tricked into checking the back when the damage was in the front.

Don't even bother man. They will just try to sell you on it. RUN away.. I have friends who have spend thousands of dollars doing one fix after the next because they didn't do it properly. There are sooo many silverline horror stories it's scary. Kid's go there because they see a STi for 4K under it's value and they think as long as the damage was repaired it will be fine.

hmm... $15k for a spec b - http://www.silverlineautomotive.com/...-10013485.html

Must have been a one-off spec b with fmic, white wheels, and the uber-stealthy removal of all spec b badges.

Notice the ONE chrome IC piping that they didn't pay to powder coat... thats where the impact was

MrTris 02-28-2013 11:15 AM

Where do they come up with the little lip spoilers? I'm almost positive that both of the LGTs we're talking about didn't come with those stock. .

ebay? If they have 83 subaru in stock, they probably buy parts in bulk for a huge discount. They know from past experience what sells.
