Best HID conversion kits

Looking to upgrade headlight system to HID on 2002 Legacy Gt.
Any idea as to best kit to purchase?

Don't install HIDs unless you have projector headlights. I love my DDM HIDs.

I bought a SDX 6000k kit from Ebay sold by Kensun. Was $40 and has worked really well compared to most cheap hid kits.
Without have HID housings, you'll just blind oncoming drivers (which I'm during at the moment).

there are several of threads discussing HID kits. It is recommended not to use HID's in reflector housing, this is not safe and will blind other drivers on the road. If you want HID's best solution is either get JDM lights, or do a retrofit projector on the stock housing

Jdms with pattern blackout is the simpmlest but if you do hid kit better be a projector retrofit. Freaking hate hid is reflector housing for some reason in my town right now its some new trend for every huge ass jacked up truck to have hid lights and fog lights and its horrible can't see crap just want to follow them home and smash the sh** out of them

There was one of those living up the road from me. I could always tell he was coming, because I'd see the treetops all lit up. Light scatter EVERYWHERE.

It's not that difficult to do a projector swap, you can get ebay projectors that fit right in (after opening up the housing) and lock down from the back like a halogen bulb. IMO the quality isn't the best, but it's at least as good as any reflector HID kit you'd get... because they're junk anyway.

ebay projectors are crap, get them from TRS. for daily road use projector is better, reflector is better for off road, when i go on rally roads i have 8 Hella's with 100w bulbs, i see everything

I have TRS mini d2s in a jdm housing w/ 55w 6k's I did a crap job on doing it cause of limited time/experiance but its still 100x better then what they were and I make them work lol plus I have a set of hella 500s wired to my high beams for extra lighting behind my grille lol

trs has excellent retrofit supplies. I got some DDM ballasts and philips 4300K capsules, works great.

I did a retrofit on my Outback. It was a little more expensive than your average Plug-and-Play kit, but the lighting is great! I have some more details of the retrofit on the outback forums.
