Anyone know of any new info about the next gen wrx?

Yes, it will look like the 2013 Impreza, but with more aggressive styling and a huge spoiler.

I hope to god you're wrong! i hope it looks more like the advanced tourer concept. They said it will take styling cues from that. Then again just look at that hideous XV Crosstrek,it's basically an Impreza with a different name. I doubt Subaru would do the next WRX like that. They will make it more unique. They said it will have its own design and the only thing it will share with the Impreza is a few nuts and bolts and platform thats it.

Short answer, no.
If there was there would likely already be a post on it.
Unfortunately we're stuck waiting for a bit.

Nope. That was just drivetrain-testing mule. I think a new wrx is 1.5+ years away at least.

Honestly i can't wait! I think they will make it amazing. The current car is outdated and the interior is crap. If i don't end up liking it ill buy a BRZ or a used 09 LGT/Spec.B. I think the new FA turbo has alot of potential i do wonder if they will make a turbo FB in the future?

And I'm not 100% they will make it at all.

Next gen WRX/STi will not be sharing a platform with the current Impreza, so I've heard.

No sign of a WRX here in Japan - - Dealer says "no news" but would like to see one soon... All the Mags which tend to be 6 months in front of such news are all devoid of any info... EVERYBODY is simply speculating and the JDM press seem to be getting a kick out of the fact that all the rumors seem to be coming from the "wishful thinkers" in the USDM media... They all kind of chuckle and smirk to think that the US would hear about it before them...

Don't forget we still have a current model year 2013 WRX - STi here in Japan...

Although it is still on the Impreza platform it is not called the "Impreza" WRX...

Praying for 3 door option and interior somewhere in the league of a VW golf.

If they can do this and have a direct injection turbo getting 30 mpg hwy I'll be first on the list at my local dealer to buy one.

I don't even care about HP numbers I'm sure it will be at least as much as current gen so that will be plenty for a starting point for me.

^ Also hoping for a much improved interior, current one is trash IMO.

If you have time to worry about the interior you aren't driving it fast enough!

I might agree if 75% of my driving wasn't below 50 mph.

As it stands now I need a car that puts a smile on my face in all of its areas, not just when I am pretending race car. I actually dig my legacy limited interior. Not the best seats but if they put a more legacy esq interior in the new wrx with sportier seats I'd be down.

Exactly, the 4th gen Legacy's interior is great in terms of quality and design. 5th gen not so much IMO. I know Subaru will improve the WRX's interior because that's the one thing everyone's been complaining about in the press.
