5EAT Short Shifter, is it possible?

Has anyone tried modding the 5EAT shifter to make it shorter so theres less of a gap between the Shift knob and the PRND panel?

Why

famaya26 01-28-2013 09:02 PM

Just for looks, nothing else.

Spend your time/money on something else

Can't be that expensive right? Just cut and re-thread?

AkumaMax 01-28-2013 09:08 PM

yea dremel and a lot of time. Plus a new Die to rethread the shifter.

Even if it only cost you $5 it would be a complete waste of time. And with that $5 you could get a foot long sub from subway. Way more satisfaction from a foot long sub than a "short shifter" for your auto.

But aren't Footlongs just 11 inches based on some recent pics taken by unsatified customers. So just leave it alone and buy a Manual of I want a Short Shifter.

You aren't actually going to do this anyways.

AkumaMax 01-28-2013 09:12 PM
