Turbo Timers? How do they work?

Hello everyone,
When i first got my BH5 they turned off the car and the vehicle still ran for about 20sec. Now that i've been driving her around it seems not to do it again? I believe it's set for 30sec. but everytime i turn off the ignition it will not continue to run (turbo cool down)?
1: Does it have to be a certain temp?
2: Does have to run a certain time period?
3: Is this normal?
:confused

Turbo Timers are completely useless in Subaru's. I wouldn't worry that it stopped working, and instead be happy knowing that you are no longer pointlessly wasting fuel.

I case anyone wanted to know, I figured it out! The parking brake has to be engaged for this "cool down" period to work. Thanks
