Very. The wiring harness behind the dash are different from an '05 to '06. Different enough to be a pain in the ass and a few have attempted to install in '05s and given up. If you are serious in attempting. Do a search and read up on it.

This is a steal of a deal. The OEM setups that I've seen in the past went for almost double that.

sorry to hijack but is there a related thread for this on an 07?...does the CAN wiring pose more of a problem? is there a unit that works for later years?...i had a pioneer dvd on my wrx and STi and is what i miss the most on my specB

This unit can be installed into any Legacy... I just completed this on an 06 (non GT) 05's are also possible. There is a fair amount of wire taping and cutting... Not the easyest of tasks, but not the hardest either.

How difficult is the install on an 2007 2.5 N/A, i'm interested...

I am working on installing this on my 05. There will be a DIY up before Christmas. I have it rigged up right now in my 05 and it is working!
