Replacing Horn on 2012 Legacy Limited
The horns are ust ineffective in NY traffic. They just cannot be heard.
Can someone suggest a horn to replace the stock that is reliable and signifigantly louder. Thanks, Jeff |

I installed FIAMM's (Fiamm 72112 and 72102)

I went with the Hellas from AZPInstalls (member here) as they have a wiring harness with it ... and I didn't feel the need to make my own wire harness. Install was quick and painless. And the horns are now audible to others.

Do the Subimods.com Hella Supertone kit (horns, bracket, harness) for like $130.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I am not that handy and want a bullet proof mod so there are no issues. I don't understand why I would need a new harness and fuse? Can someone explain why this is?
Is there no swap out horn availible? |
because of the amount of power it draws. you need power to make sound

If you wanted to drive up to CT one weekend I would help you install a set. The subimods kit is cake. Probably take less than an hour to install

Could the AZP harness be used for the FIAMM horns? Or is it specifically for the Hellas?

I used no relays and used the factory wiring. No problems so far.

I have a great solution. Put one of these in. I've got one in my subie where the second muffler would go if it were a gt and its a blast! People think a train is coming. I should post up some pics and a short video sometime soon.
