Short Throw Shifter Options

I'm doing my clutch, so I figured I might as well upgrade my shifter when everything is apart. I searched and searched and looked all over this site, but I'm still not clear. So what exactly are my options for a STS for this car, and what bushings will I need to make said shifter work. Also, besides kartboy, what other bushing sets are available?

Oh, and as a side note, what else besides a standard clutch kit and flywheel will I need to do the clutch on this car?

you don't need to change the bushings to "make it work", the bushings are just usually changed along with the shifter cause they tighten everything up and give you crisper shifts.

buy this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/95-01-SUBARU...f264d9&vxp=mtr

i have it, and also owned a kartboy before and its the exact same shifter. only difference is the $75 price difference. get kartboy bushings, though.

I ordered that shifter. Will the kartboy listed here be correct?: http://www2.kartboy.com/x4/product.p...3&bestseller=Y

Do I have any other bushing options? The kartboy kit is kinda pricey, can I get away with just replacing the pivot bushings? The Rallitek are more within my price range right now.

the "front stay bushings" are a lot more important than the pivot bushings. the rallitek ones are fine.

I went with the cosmo racing short shifter. Also made a world of a difference.

I'm in the process of making my own by cutting down the stock shifter. It's one of the diy mods in this forum, pretty simple and straight forward if you read the directions carefully.
