FS (CA): Clean certified VF40 Turbo $325.00

5 Attachment(s)
SOLD

Hi,

I have a very clean stock VF40 turbo for sale. I have switched to a VF52 turbo and do not need this turbo anymore, and quite honestly trying to recoup from a full engine build.

The turbo was removed with care by Mike at Infamous Tuning in Escondido, CA. He did a complete inspection of the turbo and found it to be in tip top shape. There is no shaft play other than the back and forth lash set by manufacture. The blades have no chips and have never come in contact with any surfaces within the turbo. I have cleaned the turbo including the mounting surfaces. All threads and bolts are in perfect shape.

Or you can have Brian at BNR Super-cars turn it into anything you want up to a 20G.

The Turbo is ready for installation.

SOLD

Thank you,

Scott

Mike really knows his stuff. If he said its good, its good.

How many miles on it?
How many miles at stage 2?
What was max boost on it?

Do not send a perfectly good turbo to BnR when blown turbos are fs. IIRC my VF40 in great shape ~60k miles sold for about your asking price so it certainly seems fair.

Sorry forgot to include miles. Thanks for the props...

110,000 miles on it

Stage 2 came in at around 60,000 miles the turbo only saw what is in a Cobb off the shelf stage 2 so not sure what boost is saw, maybe 17-18 at best. They have only very conservative maps.

I sold mine for $275 with 100k

Is that because nobody would pay any more or because you just blew it out in pricing to get rid of it? I have seen them between $400.00 to $300.00 in fair to not so fair condition. Mine is very clean in exceptional condition in regards to shaft play, all clean blades, and exterior shine!

A high mileage vf40 isn't going to appeal many buyers. IMO, they're not so great turbos to begin with.

I also just wanted to get rid of it. Some motorsport company in Jersey bought it off of me.

And did you share that here because you don't want the OP to get more money than you did?

Just let him put whatever starting price he wants and negotiate from there. No need to pee in someone else's thread.

I shared because this is an open forum. I wish Sashadg1 the best for their sale.

Sorry if I stepped on anyone toes.
