Black Plastic Body Clips
Does anyone know of a workable off brand body clip that will work? The OEM ones are $3/ea, but I know you can get a bag of generic ones for about $.50/ea.
Has anyone found a workable generic? |
I would be interested in the same. I have broken at least 10 of those things and wouldn't pay $30 to replace them.

I just went and got them from the dealership. I tried to get the interior trim ones but those were almost 4 bucks a piece so I went to autozone and grabbed some there. Tried to get as close as I could to stock. One has already broke, not off to a good start. It's all about supply and demand, if we can get everyone to buy atleast 10 we should be able to bring the price down to maybe 1 dollar a piece haha.

Check Ace Hardware if you have one of those where you live. They are pretty generic I believe. They have all sorts of automotive clips.

Paging Sleepr56, I think he just bought a bag of those...

Oh, and don't forget to use promo code "facebook" for 5% off your order.

This is fantastic! When I went under my car last weekend to put on my skid plate, I noticed that I was missing a bunch of body clips... now I can plug them back in! yay.
|
Looks like these would work, too. Just a different head size.

I just ordered a set of each kind since they'll work on both my Legacy and my Forester. Between the two cars one bag of each may not be enough to fill all the missing/broken ones.
|
Yeah that's why I bought 40

It's been a year or so since I looked, but Lowes had a drawer of various sized automotive push-plugs and assorted clips/fasteners where all their loose/assorted hardware is.
I know I exploded a few of the push plugs removing a section of the belly pan on my 2012 last winter. Don't touch them if it's below freezing. Joel |
