Wheel offset and tire combo for RWD LGT
My 05 Legacy GT is now RWD. I have read some of the stickies and looked at different offsets and such and wanted to hear some recommendations on wheels and offset sizes. Here are the specs I am trying to meet:
Size: 17" or 18" Front Width: 225-245 Rear Width: 265-295 Clears Brembos 5x100 My goal is to be able to run a wide tire in the rear that is matched to a wheel that will have a good contact patch. I will roll the fenders as needed but would like to avoid pulling the rear quarter panels |
you'll need to pull the rear fenders for 265+ tires to fit
245s on a 9 is very close already for the rear, 255s will fit with some massaging on the quarter panels 235s or 245s on the front is easy with just a simple roll |
I may try to go for some 255s and massaging. What kinds of offset do you recommend?
|
9 +38
you can probably go a few mm higher on the ET, but I'm not sure how much clearance there is with coils |
RWD you don't say
|
Yes sir, you can see it here http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...q4-191260.html

I am going to go ahead and modify the rear quarters. I would prefer to run 17s and be at a 275 width in the rear. Something like 1 17x9.5 maybe. Just not sure on offset
|
Things have changed a bit since my initial posting as I have gone to 5x114.3 hubs to match my rear end and am also looking to go to an 18in wheel so clear brakes that I am going to run.

is it in your build thread? |
Some of the info is in the build thread but basically I modified the subframe to run a
Infiniti Q45 R200 rear differential Infiniti J30 axles 300ZX NA Hubs and Bearing Modules Brakes will be a hybrid of 350z rear rotors and Brembo Calipers |
oh... nvm then
I'm converting to either Z32 or S14 hubs too...just not on the Legacy...haha |
