Up for sale is my beloved 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. I am asking $7,500 for the vehicle and an additional $300 for the Thule roof rack if. I am open to offers but please no low balls. The engine and transmission are in great condition and this car still pulls as strong as the day I bought it. I am the second owner of the vehicle and the car has a clean Texas title with up to date registration and inspection tags. This is the unlimited version of the LGT, so it basically has all the options except leather and a sunroof. This car has the premium audio system w/ underseat subwoofer and I performed the Jazzy Aux-in mod for IPOD connectivity.


Aside from the Jazzy Aux-in, this car is completely unmolested and unmodified. This was my daily driver for many years and should last you another fifty thousand miles with the proper maintenance. I have changed the oil every 3,750 miles and have been pretty good about keeping up w/ all the various service intervals. I am happy to show receipts and service history. Now that I am done patting myself on the back…. I should tell you that I have not yet changed the timing belt. This will need to be done in the next 10,000 miles or so. You can do it yourself for around $400 bucks or take it to a shop for around $800.


Recent Service Includes

• · Replaced two front CV Axles w/ new axle seals – 106,000 Miles
• · Replaced Spark Plugs – 100,000 miles
• · Fresh Oil Change / Rear Diff Fluid Change / Transmission Fluid Change – A week ago
• · Transmission completely rebuilt w/ new synchros and and Exedy clutch w/ SM Flyweel – 80k miles
• · 4 new Hankook Ventus V12 225/45 tires installed 12 months ago

Known Issues

• · Needs timing belt service (stated above)
• · Front LCA bushings are worn. Not a huge issue, but it leads to uneven tire wear.
• · Left rear wheel is slightly bent. You can not tell from looking at it, but if you rotate it to the front you get a slight wobble in the steering wheel
• · A few paint chips and light scratches… as expected on a black Subaru w/ 110,000 miles

Thanks Famaya. Im amazed that between CList and this forum I have yet to get a single ping of interest on this thing. The car is in pretty exceptional condition. The only thing that requires any kind of immediate attention is the timing belt service. I may just bite the bullet and change the TB, water pump, etc next weekend and see if that makes a difference. Problem is, ill probably feel compelled to keep the car at that point :).

It shouldnt be to hard to sell it. Someone will come along.
