winter tire psi??

i know the stock psi but i have Michelin Xice winters on and they are max psi of 50. It looks a bit softer than when it did when discount tire mounted them on. I check it and its currently 45 front 43 rears. What should i pump it up to??

You need to take it down, not up. No more than 38F and 36R. Lower pressures favor better snow traction. What the tires look like (hard or soft) is not relevant.

Where are you checking temperature (garage/outside)? What is ambient temperature?

check it outside before i drove it. its been 40 but will be lower soon

The rule of thumb is 1 psi drop for each 10F if I am not mistaken so if you want to be ready for 0F you need to add 4 psi to pressures on the placard (when measuring at 40F).

yea but i dont know what it started at

Soo, what size tire do you have? I think OE size 215/45R17 calls for 33/35.
I ran 225/45R17 at 36.5/38.5 - routhly 10% higher than placard.

35 F, 33 R for stock 215/45 17 is indeed what's called for.
