2006+ WRX Flywheel
 

Hello,

I am new to this forum and am planning on doing some clutch work to my 2005 LGT. I want to replace the dual mass flywheel with a 2006+ WRX single mass flywheel.

Does anyone have suggests on flywheel suppliers or possibly have one they are willing to sell?

Just fitted the following clutch and single mass flywheel to my car.

makes a difference, a little noisier but you feel way more connected to the clutch, i am matched up with an exedy stage 1 kit. I got a used fw from a member on here, could prob source one on nasioc or your local subaru forum to save a few bucks

Thank you for the advice. I also ordered the Exedy stage 1 kit. How much noisier is it? Are there any common measures taken to reduce the noise?

its not that bad if u have the radio on you cant hear it. i also have the group n tranny mount which tightens things up. its a good setup and recommended by my tuner compared to other clutches

Check out the TSK3 TOB kit to. Its recommended whe ndoing this job.

Get it from one of the vendors like AZPinstalls.com or m sprank.

I have the stock flywheel out of my 06 WRX, but it has 80k miles and needs resurfaced. Assuming it can be resurfaced, it'll be about 5 pounds lighter than your dual mass.

Great. Thank you for letting me know. I am currently waiting on someone with an OEM flywheel I would like to purchase. If that falls through, I would certainly like to take a look at some photos of your oem flywheel.

For sure. I'll dig it out of the shed. Maybe I'll get around to having it resurfaced since it'll probably be worth more resurfaced than not.

@OP just make sure you get the single mass clutch to go along with it.
