exhaust rattle, unlike the others on this forum
 

i have what sounds like an exhaust rattle coming from the rear passenger side of my 2008 2.5i. it is a low-pitched rattle, and it goes away when i release the gas pedal. happens maybe 4 or 5 times for every 30 minutes of driving.

any tips on how i should deal with it or what it could be? my car is still under drivetrain warranty for about 15 days, should i take it into the dealership?

not trying to be insulting by asking a dumb question, but have you gotten under the car and shaken the exhaust a lot to see if you can tell what its hitting?

If your still under warrenty why wouldn't you take it to the dealership?

have you considered that some might have shoved either a rattlesnake or krylon can in your tail pipe

your exhaust bearings are going out. Go to autozone they have supplies of them.

it is only a drivetrain warranty, not bumper-to-bumper. and yes i did shake the exhaust, couldnt find anything

Do you still have cats on it? Will it do it in park? Will it do it when you brake rev it?....assuming its a AT. Can Somone listen/look to it while you rev it?
