How rare are these?
Mine is a 2004 H6 LLBean, white with tan perforated leather interior, rear spoiler and 5-spoke silver wheels from the factory. It's now being driven by my little brother (it's his first car), it 125,000 miles on it, and it's basically pristine in every conceivable way. OP is right; this thing will go on forever. Ours shows no signs of faltering even though I drove Mulholland Highway really fast to school for the past 2 years, and I saw one being used as a deliver vehicle with over 250,000 miles that still had a lot left in it. GLWS from a fellow LLBean owner! |
how is this a rare car? I have one exactly like it in my driveway with less miles?
Now if you had a right hand drive wagon with a turbo engine that would be rare. |
We're not gonna sell ours. I just wanna know how desirable the LLBean's are.
When the engine dies (if it dies), hopefully I'll have enough saved up to do a little STI swap :) Until then, we're gonna DD the shit out of it. |
It's rare because it's a VDC, not because it's an L.L. Bean edition. My guess is none of yours are VDC's? If they are and you got it for 2,700, that's an absolute steal!

Correct. There are many L.L. Bean editions out there without VDC.

Well, it should have the VDC badges on it. Also, on the gauge cluster, there is a VDC light that tells you when VDC is enable or disabled. IIRC, the light is located on the upper-right corner of the cluster.

This is the most rare of the 2001 Outbacks, and the most expensive. Base price on the 2001 Outback Limited VDC was $32,390, whereas the 2001 Outback L.L. Bean was only $29,990. VIN check also indicates that it's a VDC model. VDC was also the only model with the Macintosh stereo system. Very rare

Well then eekay if yours is this version I would say your car def is rare more power to you brother!
|
Yup. It sure is and thanks! I just wish more people were interested in the 2nd gen Lego Outbacks... They're pretty kick ass. In all honesty, if I can't sell this for a reasonable price, I'm just gonna keep it. I really like it. Haha.
