Sounds like an old spring matress...
Any ideas as to what causes that sound coming from the front drive train and not being the springs themselves?
Is unpleasant... |
It does this when you do......what in what kind of car?
|
is this happening when your only driving, or when you hit a bump?
check your endlinks and bushings |
It does it when turning and and when going through bumps....
2000 Legacy GT. |
Probably the same thing with mine after 13 years the car has blown shocks and the springs are getting worn out the front endlinks are solid bushing so they shouldn't be to beat up but still nice to check
How many miles? And when I swapped to new shocks and h&r's the stock shocks were completely blown and leaking/sucking just air. sounded like air rides when I went over speed bumps lol |
180k. Not sure whether the shocks ans springs were replaced or not but they feel fine....
|
It could be a couple of things.
1) Spring perches could be dirty and rubbing. Pull the springs off and clean, and add a light grease film before placing the springs back on. 2) Suspension bushings (LCA, Swaybars, etc) could be worn. Replace or add a light grease film to them. |
check the control arm bushings,
