Fixable ?
Some ass came into my lane so I went off the road and caught a nice little ditch, cracked my rim. Should I try and get it fixed or just buy a new rim?

What rims do you have. If cheapo ones then just get a new one. That lip is hard to fix.

It' would be about 250 for a new rim, rota g-force 18x8.5

It's fixable, but better solution, IMO would be to repair it to "good enough" for a full-sized spare, if you don't already have one, and get a replacement to run on.

It's a Rota. Buy a new one.

whitetiger 10-05-2012 12:12 PM

yuck. buy a new rim.

Going to put the winters on early then get a new one and use this as a spare. I dont think im even going to fix it, its still holding air i checked it twice in the last 3 hours.

At least file the edges smooth before you remount the spare tire.

If you want a pure cosmetics fix JB weld it and paint.

looks like you got your answer about the rim already
but it looks like your cv boot has a tear, incase you didnt know yet

lilziggy1320 10-18-2012 12:00 AM

I replaced both axles today, one boot was torn very bad the other side had a decent tear so i just replaced it to. As for the rim i'm going to try my friends buddy, says he can fix it. I shall see how it comes out, if its bad i'll just buy another or try and sell the set and get something new for next season

unlimited6986 11-12-2012 10:02 AM

lilziggy1320 01-23-2013 03:14 PM
