Rode her hard and fast....

Left Boston Tuesday night at 830pm and arrived in Las Vegas tonight(thursday) at 830pm. Thats just over 2700 miles in 48 hours. I am exhausted after only stopping for gas and fast food. Man she can handle, had her moving FAST the rural areas of the country....Time to enjoy Los Vegas:spin:

Pics will be posted probably sometime tomorrow.

Why didn't you fly?

acumenhokie 09-28-2012 06:37 AM

I made it from Philly to Vegas in 5 hours once. Airplanes are much faster and you're not too exhausted to enjoy Vegas when you arrive.

How long are you staying and what do you have planned? I've always wanted to do this http://exoticsracing.com/

Trips like that are painful. I did 1600 miles to Florida in about 14hrs with a fully loaded ram 2500 quad cab long bed 4x4. Haven't taken the legacy anywhere that far yet but i do want to today trip to Colorado for skiing this winter

Yeah average is is low but you gotta factor in a shit ton of construction and traffic. On open roads in Kansas and Utah, I was disappointed to find out that cruise control only works til 90MPH and I found myself looking at the dash thinking of shit, I'm 130 already.

As far as oil, yeah, while coming down the west side of the Rockies on I70, the oil light came on. I had to to add 2quarts, kind of scary cause I changed the fluids monday night.

Flying is cheaper and faster, but seeing that landscape was just unreal. Going through Utah where there is 250 miles without a gas station, let alone a building. I felt like I should have been driving the Mars rover around at some points.

Pictures will be up at somepoint , I am in LV for another night, then I am off to San Diego.

Oh and think the 96 pounds of bugs on my windshield is slowing me down a little bit haha

Cool trip. Share the pics.

You lost two quarts of oil on the trip just because you drove hard? You had problems with oil consumption or something? I drive fairly hard and don't use oil in 5-6K.

Pretty sure this is inaccurate. I think I had mine set at 94 going out to California

Mine doesn't work over 90, maybe one of our speedometers is off, but mine would not work over 90.

Pics will be up soon for those interested...
