FS(MA): Tuning slot with BrenTuning this Saturday, 9/27 - CLOSED

Edit 2: Definitely no longer for sale.

Uh ... edit: Yes, 9/29. Pardon my stupidity. And it looks like Sigmafour is going to possibly come to my rescue and I may have a solution. This slot is now no longer for sale unless you want to try to wait until Saturday morning for confirmation that my solution has failed. That's a lot of uncertainty, but if you're desperate for a tune on Saturday and can live with the situation, we might still work something out. Please commence the commentary from the peanut gallery about panicked noobies making nonsense threads. Flame suit on. :)

Fyi ... this is not limited to 2005-2009, but I didn't know a better forum to use.

I have a slot available for a tuning dyno day with Bren of BrenTuning for this weekend on Saturday, 9/29. I made a deposit of $125 to hold a spot and found out today that I will not be able to keep it due to excessive shaft play in my stock turbo. I have heard from Bren that there were a lot more people looking for this slot that had to be turned away, but since I will not be using it, it is now available. Unfortunately, I'm still on the hook for the $125, so I'm trying to resell the slot.

I will offer a discount on my $125 deposit of $50.00 since this is such short notice. That means, that my $125 deposit with Bren will cost you $75. In addition to my discount, Bren is offering a discounted priced on tunes to the customer and of course, you would still owe Bren the balance of the tune cost, but you would have $125 paid in already. The tuning day is this Saturday, 9/27 at PSI Tuning (4 Elm Street, Auburn, MA 01501) with BrenTuning.

PM me if interested and we'll figure out the details and slot transfer with Bren.

Here is a nice long thread detailing the dyno day ... http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...ay-192042.html

Sorry to hear about it :(

For anyone taking the slot, there's going to be a pile of LGT's getting tuned up, plus a few more LGT's that are just spectating. Should be fun.

Someone jump on this!

spc2125 09-27-2012 03:07 PM

Fresh meat!! Come check it out a tune it up!!

Side note... Could the $125 deposit be set aside for a tune later on if you cant find anybody? Or is it just a sunk cost?

Bump for an unfortunate situtation, someone help him out and take advantage of this offer!

Worth a 1400 mile drive? :D

BarManBean 09-27-2012 03:28 PM

Does this basically equate to $100 off the normal price of a bren tune?

Nothin' wrong with that, from what I hear.

It all depends on whether I can get somebody to fill the slot. :)

Regardless, in the end, I'm the one ultimately responsible for the situation. I got in a hurry to get the dp back on and forgot to look at this myself when it still could have been rectified in time. I'm sure Alberto over at Motive had to make a really tough phone call to say hey, your car is untuneable and undrivable and you won't be able to make it on Saturday, but it's not his fault either. If the turbo looks bad, then the turbo looks bad.

I look at it this way, I was able to sell the wife that turbo replacement was something that needed to be fixed and if I were have to tell her instead that I blew the motor on our station wagon, she would be very less than thrilled. Really, there's no choice here. Oh well. Stay stock, stay happy. Or heck, take the rocky road straight to stage three and be even happier. :)

Worth it to me for you to make the drive. Sure.

Worth it to you? On two days notice? I guess you gotta make that call yourself. :)

luchadorjose 09-27-2012 04:08 PM

Maybe you can source a replacement turbo by Saturday? Good luck dude, sorry to hear that!

Dujo 09-27-2012 04:53 PM
