Hitting rev limiter on 5EAT?

Since I have gone to stage 2 sometimes on the first to second shift on wot the car will hit the rev limiter for a second before it shifts. Has anyone else experienced something similiar or is the engine just reving too quickly for the computer to be able to shift. I'm just hopeing its nothing like my tranny slipping which is causing the issue. Car runs fine minus the issue with it hitting the rev limiter every once and awhile. Any info or opinions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Save for valve body mod!

Is there any companys that make a valve body upgrade kit? I know there are some that will do the upgrade for you once you send them the kit but I can install it myself. Saves down time on the car as I drive it everyday.

That's slippage. Do a vb now or get ready for a rebuild. If you keep up the wot shifts, it will be sooner than later.

Your options are hexmods or the transgo kit (diy or having a shop install it).

I figured it was the tranny slipping does transgo make a shift kit for subaru? I don't have a issue installing the parts myself I'm just trying to find somewhere to buy a kit.

Summit racing has one for the 350z 5eat. It is compatible. Climberd wrote a walkthrough for the install. It should be in the performance walkthrough section. It involves tearing the vb apart and replacing some valves and springs.

You don't happen to have the info or part number for the shift kit do you?

Subaru > 5EAT, RE5RO5A

I guess I'll have to call them. They don't say anything about the shift kit for the 5EAT. They show info on the 4EAT but not the 5. They don't list prices on anything either.

Read climber's walkthrough. There is a link to the kit from summit racing. Also look over the walkthrough so you know what you're dealing with. Its not an easy install. It isn't listed for Subaru 5eat, only for the Nissan 350z.

Also 350z walk through I posted long time ago:

Well the transgo kit for the 350Z is like $300 so for that price you might as well just buy the modded valve body from climberd for the extra $200.

Brother stareonesir, what you describe can be slippage or just what you said, revs too quick for the shift (most of the time this is the problem). Only you can tell the difference. Try to do a manual shift from 1st to 2nd, floored, at around 3-4K and see how it grabs the gear. If it revs up as if in neutral, a valve body may not save you. It still comes highly recommended for a Stage 2 build.
I have a modded vb from another vendor (not as badass as the Hexmod) and once in a blue moon I still hit the rev limit very briefly. Car just doesn't react to the shift quick enough.
