Tranny needed...

I have a 1.8L tranny that needs replaced... I have two of them and wondering how easy it is to put them together... One first gear went out the other 345 went out... Is it better to replace or put together???

Wrong section. I recommend looking in the South East or Tri-State area for Trannies. More specifically, think New York and Miami.

You asked for this with that thread title

If you want something more local, try capital hill in seattle. You'll likely find one whether you want to or not. I'm guessing you're looking for a tranny with a stick.

I hear in Thailand they are everywhere. You could just go there and have your pick.

Do the trannys come any other way? Are there double stick or something?

Well first off I live in Washington... So The real question then is can I put the PARTS together. Also I don't want a human tranny. I was thinking more along the mechanical TRANSMISSION line. So now that the punch lines are out of the way...

TheOneDoubleN 08-07-2012 06:04 PM

If i know this forum, the punchlines are definitely not out of the way.

His question is how to put two trannies together. Since male/male application doesn't really work, he may have some trouble and will need to use the butt end of one to fit the two together.

Why didn't you say so in the first place? I presume you can order a blow up one online and dress it up as a tranny.

Well I am glad to add some fun to your day. But does anyone know if it can be done

RyanGT 08-08-2012 12:03 PM

Know what can be done? Order a blow up one online and dress it up as a tranny? I am sure it's possible. Just Google it!

You'd probably have better luck starting a new thread with a less hilarious title instead of trying to refocus those that come into this one ;).
