WhiteLine 20mm Sway Bar

Hey Fella's anybody know if the WhiteLine BSR49 will fit a 2012-2013 Legacy??
I have a 2013 and I need to do something about the body roll on this car without replacing the entire suspension.

I have it on my 2012, I know subaru made adjustments to the suspension for 2013 tho so I dont know what compatibility would be. Best bet would probably be to ask the dealer about what specific suspension components were changed.

You're giving dealers way too much credit...

I highly doubt they changed anything with the rear sway bar except maybe put on a slightly larger one. I bet the suspension tweaks are mostly stiffer shocks with springs that have a higher spring rate.

Get us a couple of decent pictures of the rear suspension and stock sway bar and we should be able to determine...

Yeah, too much credit to dealer. It took me 12 minutes to install this one. It was delivered right before going on vacation and I literally put in one while packing the car. Can't understand why they don't do this at the factory.

Here's the one I bought:

I will do that when I get home today as well as measure the diameter of the stock bar with my digital calipers...anybody know what the 2011-2012 bar diameter is ?

I am thinking subaru only upgraded the shocks and springs, there is no way the stock sway bar is 19mm or greater. By the seat of pants feel thats my guess.

It'd be great if we can determine if the durometer hardness is increased in the bushings too. It wouldn't be a huge performance upgrade since it's still considered OEM but the 2011 OEM bushings are SOFT.

Aaron48 08-02-2012 04:16 PM

Well I measured the sway bar...its still 16mm. The bushings are still a soft rubber as well.

good pic!!

With increased spring rates and possibly improved struts/shocks, the Subaru 19mm bar may be an excellent choice for the 2013. The 10-12s needed the bigger RSB to compensate for the soft suspension.

Better performance tires would be another consideration.

I actually just ordered the Subaru 19mm bar. I am assuming that the new bar comes with rubber bushings and not poly since its an OEM provided bar.
I really do hope this solves the amount of body roll the car has....
The suspension overall is awesome firm but sophisticated if that makes sense..

Driving on clover leafs is what bugs me, a car that glides so beautifully down the road yet leans like a school bus in corners.

We will see.

Really improved the 2011 and see no reason it wouldn't improve yours. :)
