Finally Removed My Dealer Badge/Sticker

I didn't have access to a heat gun or hair dryer, so I let the car sit in the sun for ten minutes (it's 90+ right now). I was intending on using dental floss, but the sticker easily pulled right off. After that, I used some 3M Adhesive Remover to clean up the residue.

Looks good, now to get of that dealer plate cover.

Now do a complete debadged except for the AWD emblem. Looks good though. I've always hated those dealership badges.

I hate them too, luckily ours was DXed in from another dealer and they didn't have time to put their badging on it before we took delivery

My dealer knows not to put any dealer stickers on my cars. Even when we bought our Volvo, I made the dealer put "no dealer sticker" on the contract.

My dad bought a 2007 Silverado 2500 HD back in 07. The dealer had already placed their badge but when we got home my dad removed it. When he took the truck for the first service schedule, they noticed the badge was gone. When my dad picked it up, they had installed a new one. The guy that took care of us told us that it's a required badge to show that we had purchased the truck there. My dad took it off as soon as we got home.

I would have made the dealer pull that off before I bought it. Horrible looking sticker and horrible placement. Surprise you didn't do it sooner!

That's why I kept it on the car as long as I did.

I bought my LGT from Subaru of Nashua in Hudson (go figure) New Hampshire. They have some stickers that say "of Nashua" in script that they like to stick underneath the Subaru badge. When I ordered the car, I called about a week later to request that they not add any additional stickers or badging. Of course, it only took 3.5 months for my car to be ready for pickup, so they forgot and it had "of Nashua" on the trunk. When I mentioned it, it was gone within 10 minutes.

I hope he laughed at whoever said that. Heartily.

Wow! That is funny. Was the guy a company toadie or really, really stupid?
