The new guy - 96 Legacy Hoonwgn
Well I posted the other day in the what did you do today thread.
This is my first Subaru. I LOVE wagons. I come from many years of old Quattros and swaps. so far ill i have needed is 2 screwdrivers a 10mm and 12mm. :lol: This is a nice "stepping" out of the german world for me. bit burned out. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...13216105_n.jpg last Thursday I picked up a 1996 Brighton Wagon 224k 5speed. had a check engine light for a lean trim condition. first thing i did was synthetic oil change. new pvc check valve, ngk plugs, and a fuel filter. Also had a 1/4" hole in the exhaust right off the head. fixed that and the check engine light went out. passed ohio emissions check. cool. Also visited a few pull-a-parts..snagged up a Tach, door, fender, outback bumpers, scooped hood, cup holder, radio, dual piston front calipers, and a rubber trunk liner. need one more door......then all fresh alpine paint. Nice! I have the same problem where the exhaust header meets the block. Did you weld the piece on the hole? Or did you get new headers.

yup some 16x6.5 new beetle wheels with 205's. not sure the et.

wagon looks like its coming along good man, i also come from a vw/audi background so i know what you mean about the simplicity of working on these motors, having all that space to work in the bay is insane!

That's rough man, happened in my 200sx, its not fun. Good lookin' wagon. Mines on an 04 STi suspension with Prodrive P1 springs that I picked up locally for 300 bucks.

So did you pay $207? I always tell people here that I can get subie parts for days out here but no one ever takes me up, lol.

I have tons of parts...if its something that I don't have I can get my hands on it for pretty cheap. I've sold parts to a bunch of people on here before.
