Found the Best PlastiDip Website!!

I was looking at different retailers for plasti dip products and came across this amazing website.

www.DIPYOURCAR.com

They offer all types of plasti dip colors, glossifiers, metalizers, accessories

On top of that they have an extensive gallery of plasti dipped cars and wheels. Also DIY tutorials.

Here's a link to the gallery:

NP. The glossifier and the metalizers seems to be new products from plasti dip. cant wait to try it out

I got mine at ACE hardware. I believe they had the glossifiers there as well. AND they dont tack on $11 shipping for a $6 spray can.

Jesus christ. I hate this shit. It sucks and it rubs off in a matter of weeks.

Actually prep and paint so it'll stay!!

I thought this stuff was very durable. Kind of a plasti-rubber finish...yes/no?

NWSPECB 02-11-2012 12:38 AM

yes. It started (and still) coming in a little container that you would dip things like the handles of your tools into. The spray stuff is very durable as long as you clean well and do multiple coats.

The spray stuff is extremely durable; I've never had one problem with chips or loss in color. Painting doesn't always work on every surface, especially grills. Wheels, though, I would powder coat/paint.

I met up with the owner of dipyourcar.com, Joe aka Fonzie, last night. I went to order the silver metalizer and noticed that he is located about 15 min away from where I am visiting in FL so I sent him an email asking if I could do a local pickup. He was a very nice guy and gave me some tips on how to achieve the look I am going for. I am going to experiment with a base coat of black with the silver metalizer on the wheels. I'll post some pics once I'm done.

Just wondering. Will the heat given off from the brakes deteriorate the PlastiDip?

On other forums, I've read about people plastidipping their mufflers without problems so I highly doubt the heat from the brakes would affect the plastidip on the wheels

What a great idea for a permanent condom.
