exhaust question

will a stock 08 wrx hatch exhaust bolt up to a 2011 LGT? i hate the stock mufflers and would like to find dual tip replacements that fit. any advice would be great. thanks.

Isn't the hatch a single outlet exhaust? I think you need the sedan exhaust. And I don't think our exhaust cutouts are big enough for dual tips.

I think he 08 WRX hatch has a single huge muffler with dual pipes and tips (so 4 tips).

I don't believe it will fit. I am sure this has been answered on many of the exhaust threads already started. Let a search do your walking.

You would need wrx sedan mufflers. The hatch ones won't fit.

All of the above. 08+ WRX Sedan axlebacks; bumper cutouts not wide enough for dual tips

No.

Minuccims...id pm'd you a few weeks back and you mentioned youve had the megans from an 08 wrx sedan, so id assume PERRINs axle back for the 08wrx would fit just as well as they did?
I found some on nasioc for cheap and then going to powder coat them to match my balcked out wheels, instead of leaving them chrome
what do you think?

I have a set of perrin mufflers that are for a WRX sedan on my Legacy 3.6R I have pics and info here:

Peaty I appreciate the link you provided it sounds really good on your car as well, so now I'm extremely excited to get these!

Peaty 12-20-2011 11:42 PM

I've had them for a while now and I have to say, I still love the sound. Not over the top but just right, for me anyway.

I jusy contacted the seller and bought the pair for 299 shipped so now I can thank you for the quick post.
I had a stromung axle back on my 02 BE and loved loved loved the sound because it wasn't overbearing but gave off an excellent sound, similiar to a porsche. With these I'm going to expect a great sound since I've listened to numerous setups on youtube. I just couldn't pass these up.

I agree, I had a Stromung on my 99RS and loved it too. I also had a cobb system on my 04 F-XT which was similar if not actually made for them by Stromung, and again I loved the sound:

That was a little too much, my wife said she could hear me coming a few blocks away. It wasn't very loud but it was super deep. I loved it though.
