GT headlight aim
Dumb question, but I can't figure out which direction to turn the screws to raise and lower the aim. I can't addjust them while mounted so I'm just gonna take em off. Anyone help?
I'm thinking it clockwise to raise and counter to lower, can anyone confirm?
Figured it out.
What height did you aim the lights at?
Not sure, just used a half wall at my appartment complex, then went out on the road to check, I've got HIDs so its a bit different
im geting new lights in the mail and i just installed hids. any tips?
^^ the only tip is to get rid of the HID's...both of you. They're harmful on the road and seriously deteriorate your distance vision.

And why is this? If you have the correct projector housing and aim them correctly they don't blind oncoming traffic. Please post some more information to back up your statement so we can be informed.
Here is how to aim your headlights to DOT specs: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...-do-54740.html |
That tutorial applies if you have projector headlights, which no BE/BH came with. If you DO have them then you must have done a projector retrofit like myself....kudos to you. If not, then simply cramming an 'HID kit' into a headlight originally designed for halogen bulbs is ludacris and extremely dangerous because it cannot focus the light sufficiently.

I couldn't agree more! Thanks for clearing that up. I was giving nastynate the benefit of the doubt since a lot of us on this site and others get a bit tired of saying 'Please, please, please DO NOT put HIDs in non projector headlights!' :spin:
Ditch your HIDs fellas and just get some really nice bulbs, like Sylvania OSRAMs, like these: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...-do-54740.html Every time I get blinded by some dumbass with improper HIDs I get pissed. I thought that the tutorial would still be useful since the DOT specs apply to all states and headlight cutoffs, regardless of if they have HIDs or not. |

Thank you Dodik, i've been looking for this.
